Representative from Story county, was born in McLean county, Illinois, December 6, 1865, of American parentage. The White family were among the early settlers in Illinois. Received his education in the public schools, the Illinois State Normal and Drake University College of Law. Was engaged in teaching for a period of three years, in farming, feeding and breeding stock seventeen years, and one year in the grain and coal business. Was married to Ida May Chalfant June 18, 1890. Has been a resident of Story county sixteen years. Elected Representative in 1906, and re-elected in 1908. A Republican in politics.

Representative from Story county. Born in Blue Mound township, McLean county, Illinois, of American parentage. The White family were among the earliest settlers in central Illinois. He received his education in the public schools and in the Illinois State Normal University. After completing the work at the State Normal, he engaged in teaching for a period of three years, but being firmly convinced there was a great future for the farmer, quit teaching and for seventeen years was an active and successful farmer. During the past year he has been engaged in the grain and coal business in Nevada. He has been a resident of Story county fourteen years. Has only held township offices-clerk, trustee and president of school board. Has taken an active part in the Farmers' Institutes, Meat Producers' Association, Farmers' Grain Company, and Story County Agricultural Society. Is director in State Farmers' Grain Dealers' Association. Was married to Ida May Chalfant in 1890. Elected Representative in 1906. A Republican in politics.
