Representative from Kossuth county, was born in Washington county, Iowa, October 6, 1869, of English and Scotch descent. He was educated in University of Kansas and Chicago, graduating from Chicago Theological Seminary in 1896. Was pastor of the Congregational Church of Cresco, Iowa, from 1896 to 1901, when he removed to Algona, Iowa, where he now resides, and is pastor of the Congregational Church in that city. Married Miss May Haskell, daughter of Congressman D. C. Haskell, of Kansas, June 9, 1896. Elected Representative in 1906, and re-elected in 1908. A Republican in politics.
