Representative from Poweshiek county, was born on a farm in Poweshiek county, March 18, 1876, of American-born parents. He was raised on a farm and received his early education in the rural public schools. Graduated from the high school of Deep River in 1895 and the same year entered Iowa College at Grinnell, graduating in 1900. For two years he was principal of the high school at Deep River, and for the past six years has been connected with the State Bank at Deep River as cashier. Elected Representative in 1906, and re-elected in 1908. A Republican in politics.

Representative from Poweshiek county. Born on a farm in Poweshiek county, of American-born parents. He was raised on a farm and received his early education in the rural public schools. Graduated from the high school of Deep River in 1895 and the same year entered Iowa College at Grinnell, graduating in 1900. For two years he was principal of the high school at Deep River, and for the past four years has been connected with the State Bank of Deep River as cashier. He is an ardent and active Republican, having served on the Republican County Central Committee for the past four years, three years of which he has been its secretary. Elected Representative in 1906.
