Representative from Winnebago county, was born at Elk Grove, Cook county, Illinois, January 4, 1859, of American parentage. Educated in the district and graded schools. Moved to Winnebago county, Iowa, in 1888, and became a farmer. Has held various township offices and is president of the Farmer's Mutual Fire and Lightning Insurance Company. Elected Representative in 1910. A Republican in politics.
