Representative from Mitchell county, was born at Osage, of Norwegian-American parentage, June 6, 1870, where he has since resided. Completed the course in the Osage public schools in 1887, the Cedar Valley Seminary in 1893 and graduated from the Law Department of the University of Iowa with the class of 1900. Has been associated with the Farmers National Bank, of which he is the present cashier, since its organization in 1893. Previous to that time was agent of American Express Company at Osage. Is married and has two children. Elected Representative in 1908 and re-elected in 1910. A Republican in politics.
