Representative from Mills county, was born December 9, 1886, at La Grange, Missouri. He moved with his parents to Mills county, Iowa, where he was educated in the Henderson high school, which he completed in 1903. During a few years subsequent to 1903 he taught school, worked on a farm and was engaged in the automobile business. He then attended Des Moines College. In 1909 he was elected county recorder and served one term. In January, 1913, he was married to Miss Gertrude Bogart of Glenwood, Iowa. Elected representative in 1912. A democrat in politics.
