Representative from Cass county, was born in Adams county, Iowa, December 13, 1854. He was the son of George Dickey Peterson, who came from Indiana and settled in Adams county in 1852. He attended the public schools and finished the full course. Came to Cass county in 1878 and during the year 1880 was married to Miss Mary J. Berry. To them were born nine children, seven of whom are living. Is engaged in farming and a prominent breeder of short horn cattle. Is a prominent member of the Congregational church of Anita. Elected representative in 1912. A republican in politics.
