Representative from Delaware county, was born in Manchester, Indiana, January 16, 1850. When seventeen years of age he moved to Iowa and has been a resident of the state since that time. Is president of the First National Bank of Manchester, Iowa, and a lawyer, having obtained his degree at the University of Iowa in 1870. Practiced law for ten years, but the greater part of his time has been devoted to banking and other interests. Married Miss Jennie P. Loomis in 1875. They have no children. He is a thirty-second degree Mason and a prominent Odd Fellow. Elected representative in 1912. A republican in politics.
