Representative from Audubon county, was born in Aero, Denmark, in 1866. When he was two years old he was brought to America by his parents, who settled in Shelby county, Iowa, until 1875, removing that year to a farm in Audubon county, where he has since resided, with the exception of five years spent in Nebraska as an implement merchant. Married December 17, 1891 to Miss Stella M. Huglin. Their family consists of six children. In the year following his marriage he returned to Iowa. Was United States township census enumerator in 1900, and in 1901 and 1902 he was assessor. In 1907 he established the Crystal Springs Brick and Tile Works, of which he is owner, still operating that industry in addition to conducting his farm interests. His education was secured in the rural schools and Des Moines College. Elected representative in 1912. A republican in politics.

Representative from Audubon county, was born in 1866, in Aero, Denmark. At the age of two years he came with his parents to Shelby county, Iowa. In 1875 his parents moved to a larger farm in Audubon county, which has since been Mr. Jacobson's home. For five years he resided in Wallace, Nebraska, where he engaged in the implement business. Was married in 1891, and the next year returned to Iowa and bought the home farm. In addition to the management of the farm, he also owns and operates a brick and tile plant established on his place in 1907. Was educated in the rural and graded schools of Atlantic, and at Des Moines College. Was United States township census enumerator in 1900, assessor in 1901 and 1902, township trustee from 1904 to 1911. Is a director in the Elk Horn and Kimballton Lumber Company; also interested in the Atlantic Northern and Southern Railway Company. Is a member of the Baptist church, and for ten years has been superintendent of the Sabbath School. Elected Representative in 1910. A Republican in politics.
