Representative from Lucas county, was born in Lucas county, Iowa, May 26, 1866, of American born parents, both of whom were descendents of Revolutionary ancestors. His father was a soldier in the civil war and served in the Twenty-sixth and Twenty-sixth extra general assemblies. Mr. Huntley was raised on a farm and attended country school until sixteen years old when he entered the Chariton Academy and later attended the Institute of Technology of Chicago. Taught school several terms and for a time was manager of the municipal electric lighting plant at Chariton. Is now engaged in farming and the raising of pure bred stock. Was married in 1895 to Miss Anna L. Campbell and to them have been born five children. Has served as secretary of the school board and for many years was township clerk. Elected representative in 1910. Re-elected in 1912. A republican in politics.
