Representative from Harrison county, was born January 2, l864 on a farm In Harrison county, Iowa. His parents were born in New York. Attended district school and graduated from the Logan high school and from Iowa State College of Agriculture and Mechanic Arts at Ames. After graduating at Ames he returned to Harrison and has since engaged in farming. For the past five years he has been secretary of The Harrison County Farmers' Mutual Fire Insurance Association. He has served as township assessor and trustee and has been a member of the school board for the past twenty years. Elected representative in 1910. Re-elected in 1912. A republican in politics.
