Representative from Hardin county, was born at Eldora, Iowa, December 5, 1874. His parents were born in Pennsylvania. Graduated from the Eldora high school in 1892 and from Grinnell College in 1897. Studied law in the office of Henry L. Huff, who was a member of the Thirteenth general assembly. Was admitted to the bar in 1900. Became a member of the law firm of Huff & Huff at Eldora, but since 1907 has practiced alone. Was elected city solicitor of Eldora in 1908. Elected representative in 1910. Re-elected in 1912. A republican in politics.
