Representative from Ida county, was born at Carlisle, Pennsylvania, April 21, 1872, of American parentage. Came to Ida county with his parents in 1882. Attended rural and high school. Was married to Frances E. Warnock, December 11, 1895. To them were born two children, a son and daughter. Was actively engaged in farming and stock raising from 1894 to 1906. For some years has been in the grain and feed business. Has held several township offices and was elected mayor of Battle Creek for two terms. Democrat in politics.
