Was married June 28, 1893, to Miss Lena Tripp. Was clerk of the district court of Linn county, 1905 to 1909. Member of the following fraternities: I.O.O.F., K. of P., S. of V. Is a Methodist and a lawyer. A republican in politics.

Representative from Linn county, was born, on a farm near Center Point, in Linn county, March 31, 1870, his parents being pioneer Iowa settlers. Attended the University of Iowa, being a graduate of the Liberal Arts in 1893 and the law department in 1894. Served as clerk of the district court of Linn county from 1905 to 1909. At present he is engaged in the practice of law. On June 28, 1893, he was married to Miss Lena Tripp. Is a member of the Methodist church; also a member of the I.O.O.F., Knights of Pythias and S. of V. Elected representative in 1912. A republican in politics.
