Representative from Scott county, was born in Germany, January 30, 1861. Came to America in 1875, located in Scott county, Iowa. Attended the common school in Germany and also in Davenport, Iowa. Located in New Liberty, Iowa, 1887. He has held numerous township offices. Mayor of New Liberty, Iowa, since 1909. Is president of the German Savings Bank, New Liberty, Iowa. Elected representative in 1914. A republican in politics.
