Representative from Webster county, was born in Walworth county, Wisconsin, January 24, 1851, of Norwegian origin. He located in Webster county, Iowa, in 1875. Has always been a farmer, but several years ago was elected county treasurer, serving four years. Since his first election has made his home in Fort Dodge. When twenty-one years of age he married Miss Anne Myrah, who died February 19, 1904. To them were born four children. His second wife was Mrs. Bessie Bowers Peters, mother of five children. Is a member of the Masonic order. Elected representative in 1912. Re-elected in 1914. A republican in politics.
