Representative from Polk county, was born at Dedham, Carroll county, Iowa, March 4, 1886. Graduated from the Dedham high school, and entered Drake University in 1903, graduating there from and receiving the degree LL.B. in 1908. Since his admission to the bar in 1908 he has continuously practiced law in Des Moines, Iowa, and is associated with Fred W. Lehmann, Jr., and Marion B. Seevers under the firm name of Brammer, Lehmann & Seevers. From 1909 to 1911 he devoted a portion of his time to teaching in the law department of Drake University, and in 1911 received the degree of LL.M. from said institution. Was married to Mary F. Gilliland of Bloomington, Illinois, on June 21, 1911. One child, Mary Carolyn; was born on November 12, 1914. Is a member of the Central Christian church and superintendent of its Sunday school. Holds membership in the Grant club, Hyperion Field and Motor club, and University club and is a thirty-second degree Mason and a Shriner. Elected representative in 1914. A republican in politics.
