Representative from Montgomery county, was born in Montgomery county, Iowa, March 12, 1871. His parents were born in Sweden. First they settled in Shelby county, Illinois, where they resided four years, leaving there to locate in Montgomery county, Iowa, their present home. He was educated in the rural schools. Served as township clerk for thirteen years, until his election to the legislature. At present he takes an active interest in farming. On December 20, 1905, he was married to Miss Charlotte Blade. They have no children. Elected representative in 1912. Re-elected in 1914. A republican in politics.
