One of the representatives from Clinton county, was born in Princeton, Green Lake county, Wisconsin, July 16, 1868. Received his education in the rural schools of Dodge county, Minnesota, and the graded schools of Princeton, Wisconsin. Served his apprenticeship at the printer's trade in The Republican office, Princeton, Wisconsin, coming to Iowa in 1897. Was married in 1900 to Miss Laura Hollis, four children, two boys and two girls, having been born to them. Was twice elected to the Clinton city council. Was elected a member of the Thirty-sixth General Assembly in 1914, and was re-elected with an increased plurality in 1916. Is a member of the K. of P., W. O. W. and M. W. A. lodges. A republican in politics.

Representative from Clinton county, was born in Princeton, Green Lake county, Wisconsin, July 16, 1868, and is of Scotch-Irish descent. He received his education in the rural schools of Dodge county, Minnesota, and the graded schools of Princeton, Wisconsin. Served his apprenticeship at the printers' trade in The Republic office, Princeton, Wisconsin, and later followed that occupation in Chicago and other large cities of the country, coming to Iowa in 1897. Was married in 1900 to Miss Laura Hollis, four children, two boys and two girls, having been born to them. He was twice elected to the Clinton city council. Is a member of the K. of P., W.O.W. and M.W.A. lodges. A republican in politics.
