Representative from Hardin county, was born November 12, 1869, at Traer, Iowa. Moved to Glidden, Iowa, in 1879; received the degree of B. Sc. at the State College at Ames in 1889. He taught school and in 1891 became publisher at Creighton, Nebraska. Was married April 15, 1895, at Traer, to Elsie Mae Gemmel and has four children. Was school director for several years. Is a Presbyterian, Knight of Pythias and Modern Woodman. A republican in politics.
