Representative from Crawford county, was born in Germany, January 9, 1877. He came to America with his widowed mother in May, 1882, coming directly to Denison, Iowa, where he has lived ever since. He is a graduate from the Denison High School, and from the colleges of Liberal Arts and Law of the University of Iowa. He started in the practice of law at Denison, Iowa, in 1901, and in 1902 was elected county attorney for Crawford county, which office he held for ten consecutive years. He is engaged in the practice of law at Denison, Iowa. He married Garnet L. Norman, June 4, 1914. Elected representative in 1914 and re-elected in 1916. A republican in politics.
