His chief occupation has been farming, but for six years was township assessor, prior to his election to the legislature in 1912. Was a member of the Thirty-fifth general assembly. Re-elected in 1914 and 1916 to the Thirty-sixth and Thirty-seventh general assemblies. Republican in politics.
