Representative from Lyon county, was born in Wisconsin January 3, 1873, and came to Iowa with his parents in 1884. His parents were both natives of Norway. Graduated from the law department of the State University of Iowa in 1899 and has been engaged in the banking business at Inwood, Iowa, since 1901. Was elected to the thirty-fifth general assembly and re-elected to the thirty-seventh general assembly in 1916. A republican in politics.

Representative from Lyon county, was born in Grant county, Wisconsin, January 3, 1873, both his parents having been born in Norway. Moved to Lyon county, Iowa, in 1884. Attended the common schools. Graduated from the law department of the University of Iowa in 1899. Organized the Peoples Savings Bank of Inwood in 1901 which was later changed to the First National Bank. Was married October 11, 1900, to Emma Erickson. They have four children, two girls and two boys. Elected representative in 1912. A republican in politics.
