No record has been produced to show that a younger man ever held a chair in Iowa legislature. Spent some time on a farm, dealing in live stock, before entering the law school of the University of Iowa. When twenty years of age he graduated and opened an office in his home town, Elma, Iowa. He is unmarried. Is a member of the Masonic order. Elected representative in 1912. Re-elected in 1914 and 1916. A republican in politics.
