Representative from Floyd county, was born in Niagara county, New York, October 2, 1853, of American parentage. Moved with his parents to Rochelle, Illinois, in 1867, receiving there his early education. He afterward attended Rock River Seminary, then taught school for several years in Ogle county, Illinois. Was married in 1882 to Mary E. Hubbard and settled in Floyd county where his six children were born. Elected representative in 1916. A republican in politics.
