Representative from Pottawattamie county, born in Council Bluffs. Was graduated from high school and Omaha Commercial College. Attended University of Wisconsin 1898 and 1899. Went to Texas in 1900 and employed in banking and loan business. Appointed to clerkship in Signal Corps, War Department, Washington, and graduated from National Law University in 1907. Assigned to Fort Omaha Balloon School as chief clerk post headquarters. Served ten years as court reporter fifteenth judicial district. Practiced law with J. J. Hess, and member of firm of Williams Bros. Co., real estate, loans and insurance. Married to Irene Ruth Jones of Cedar Rapids. Member Methodist church, a Mason, Elk. Elected representative in 1918. A republican in politics.
