Representative from Van Buren county, was born on a farm in Van Buren county, in 1854, of Scotch-Irish descent. His parents, Albert and Sarah A. Morrow, were natives of Ohio and early pioneers of Iowa. His early education was in the rural schools and in the Birmingham Academy. Taught school and clerked in a store for several years. In 1882, engaged in the mercantile business at Douds, Iowa, and continued the same until 1917. Was married to Miss Alice Chalfant, daughter of Milton Chalfant, October 2, 1878. Has four children living, one daughter and three sons. One son, a sergeant in the air service, and another, a Yeoman in the U. S. Navy during the world war. A member of the M.E. Church, Masonic Order, I.O.O.F., K. of P. and the Mystic Shrine. Elected representative in 1918. A republican in politics.
