Representative from Hardin county, was born on a farm in Hardin county near Hubbard in 1897. He received his education in the rural schools, high school and four years in Drake University studying law and liberal arts. Taught in the rural schools for one year and worked largely for prohibition interests. Was in the national army during 1918. He is the second youngest man ever elected to the Iowa legislature. He is unmarried. Elected representative in 1918. A republican in politics.
