Representative from Page county in thirty-eighth general assembly, was born on a farm in Jones county, Iowa, March 1st, 1891. Attended the rural school and graduated from the Olin high school. Attended the college of liberal arts of Drake University for two years. He then worked one year in the civil engineering department of the Chicago, Milwaukee & St. Paul R.R. Co. Graduated from the law college of Drake University and admitted to the Iowa bar in 1916. Started the general practice of law in Clarinda, 1916; enlisted in the army and commissioned 2nd lieutenant of infantry in November, 1918, receiving his discharge in December. Returned to Clarinda and resumed the practice of law. Is unmarried. Was elected representative in 1918, and is a republican in politics.
