Received his education in the public school at Winterset. the Bennet Medical College of Chicago and the Barnes Medical College at St. Louis from which latter institution he graduated in 1893. Is a member of the Methodist church and of the Masonic, I.O.O.F., Elks, Eagles and Moose lodges. Married December 16, 1880 to Cynthia G. Davis. Elected in 1914. Re-elected in 1916-18. A democrat in politics.
