Was born at Nevada, Iowa, August 21, 1865. Graduate Nevada High School, State University of Iowa, Law. Country lawyer. Has been active in all war work since April, 1917. Ex-chairman Nevada Chapter American Red Cross. Member State Board, Christmas Roll Call, American Red Cross, Chairman for Story county first Red Cross War Drive, United States Fuel Administration, Smileage Book Campaign, and rural chairman Third and Fourth Liberty Loans. Forgot business until we had won the war. Glad of it, and happy now that we won it. Republican, but has supported the administration, all the way.
