Married Mary Louise Porto of Des Moines. Two daughters. Veteran of WW II, the Army Signal Corps. Member of St. Anthony Catholic Church, Past President of Dowling Club, Member Executive Committee of Des Moines Park Board, Secy.-Treas. Board of Directors of Iowa Insurance Premium Service, Inc., American Legion, Baseball Chairman Iowa Department of American Legion, Knights of Columbus, Izaak Walton League, Polk County Peace Officers Assn.; Stemma D'- Italia Lodge, Bellizzi-MacRae American Legion Post and Railsplitters Ambassadors. Twenty-four years experience with veterans and civic organizations in his community, state and nation. First term in Iowa House.
