Representative from Bremer county, was born in Jackson township, Bremer county, Iowa, August 10, 1871. Educated in the rural schools and Waverly high school. Has lived in Bremer county all his life with the exception of three years spent in Butler county. Has been actively engaged in farming until March 1, 1920, when he retired and moved to Janesville, Iowa. Was married to Edith M. Bloker, May 5, 1895. They have two children, Arthur D. and Jessie D. Are members of the Presbyterian church. Served as township trustee, chairman of Red Ross, president of Bremer county fair, and president of Bremer County Farm Bureau. Elected representative 1920. Republican in politics.
