Representative of Humboldt county, Iowa, was born in the town of Moscow, Iowa county, Wis., on the 22d of November, 1868 and lived there until 14 years of age then moved to Faulk county, S.D., and lived there until 1893 and then moved to Humboldt county, Iowa on a farm in Lake township. He was married in 1906 to Sophie Smith of Eagle Grove, Iowa. They have four children, three girls and one boy, their names are: Irma Eulahe, Ethel Nyline, Mildred Ileace, Orville James. He is a farmer by occupation. A republican in politics.
