Representative from Jackson county, was born June 16, 1873, at Bellevue, Iowa. Attended the public schools and graduated from high school in 1889. Entered the office of the Bellevue Leader in 1890, later becoming editor and is now publisher of that newspaper. Married Miss Antoniette Wickie June 12, 1901, and they have one son, Allen F. Member of the Presbyterian church, board of education and Masonic lodge. Elected representative in 1920 and re-elected in 1922. A republican in politics.
