Representative from Bremer county, was born in that county October 4, 1886. He was educated in the common schools and at Wartburg college, Waverly, Iowa, graduating in the commercial department. He entered Highland Park college, Des Moines, in the fall of 1906, graduating from the college of commerce; employed as stenographer and accountant with the Chicago, Milwaukee, and St. Paul railway company. Re-entered Highland Park college and in the fall of 1909 enrolled in Drake university college of law; admitted to the practice of law in 1912. For a period of ten years he has been identified with the farming industry. At the present time engaged in the hardware and general mercantile business at Frederika. He is a member of the Lutheran church. Was re-elected representative in 1922. A democrat in politics.
