Representative from Marshall county, Iowa, was born in State Center. Iowa, July 27, 1889. Was graduated from State Center high school, attended Cornell college for two years and was graduated from the university of Michigan in 1914. He was admitted to the bar in 1914 and has been engaged in the practice of law at Marshalltown since that time. Enlisted and was commissioned as first lieutenant in the air service and placed in command of the 264th aero squadron with which organization he served overseas for thirteen months. He is a Mason and a member of the American Legion. Elected representative in 1920, and re-elected in 1922. Republican in politics.
