Representative from Delaware county, was born at Delhi, Iowa, March 1, 1894. Attended the public school at Delhi and the academy of Lenox college at Hopkinton, Iowa. Graduated from the law school of the state university of Iowa in June, 1921. Has since that time engaged in the practice of law at Manchester. In April, 1917, he volunteered for service in the world war and received a commission as second lieutenant and was assigned to Company E, 168th infantry, serving with that organization throughout the war. Was wounded in July, 1918, in the Champagne defensive and was twice promoted, being mustered out as captain of the company on June 2, 1919, after nineteen months' service in France and seven major, operations. Married to Ruth Emery, of Des Moines, on September 1, 1917, and has one son, Clyde Heath, Jr. A member of the Masonic and Knights of Pythias orders, and a Unitarian in religion. Elected representative in 1920, and re-elected in 1922. A republican in politics.
