Representative from O'Brien county, was born at Sanborn, O'Brien county, Iowa, September 9, 1885. Graduated from the Sanborn public school in 1903 and had one year in business college and part of a law course in the Iowa state university. Has been actively interested in farming since 1905. Has been an officer of the local farm bureau since its organization, serving as president since 1917. Is a director in the Sanborn Savings bank and also the Sanborn school board. Was married in 1910 to Marguerite E. Kings, of Sanborn, and has three children, Ezra, Norman and Betty. Is past master of the Masonic lodge, member of Consistory and Shrine. Republican in politics. Elected to the house in 1920 and re-elected in 1922.
