Served as captain, First Iowa cavalry on the Mexican Border, 1916 and 1917, and during the World War as captain, field artillery, U.S.A., during which time he commanded Battery F, 126th Field Artillery. Has served as representative from Johnson county in the thirty-ninth, fortieth, fortieth extra and forty-first general assemblies. Engaged in the practice of law at Iowa City. A republican in politics.
