Was graduated from the Keota high school in 1904, from Monmouth college in 1909, and the law school at the state university of Iowa, in 1912, and since said time engaged in the general practice of law at Guthrie Center, Iowa. Was married to Madge Lee in 1916, at Centerville, Iowa, and to them has been born one child, Marjorie Lee. Was county attorney of Guthrie county from 1919 to 1922, inclusive. President of State Association of County Attorneys, 1921-22. Is a Presbyterian and a Mason. Elected representative in 1922 and 1924. A republican in politics.
