He has served two terms as county attorney and was mayor of Storm Lake. He is president of the board of trustees of Buena Vista college and a member of the Masonic and I.O.O.F. lodges. He is married and has four children. Elected representative in 1918, 1920, 1922 and 1924. Speaker of the forty-first general assembly. A republican.
