He completed his education at Drake university, University of Chicago and University of London. Was admitted to the bar in 1916. Enlisted in the infantry during the world war. Was commissioned a first lieutenant, he served two years and three months, was overseas fourteen months; service in Flanders, Argonne, St. Mihiel offensives. Has engaged in the practice of law in Des Moines since his return from service in 1919. is a member of the American Legion, a Mason, a Woodman and a Yeoman. He was married to Marguerite Lambert, of Nutley, N. J., in 1921. Is a republican in politics.
