Representative from Howard county, was born on a farm near Le Roy, Minnesota, June 27, 1871. He lived in Minnesota until the year 1904, then moved to a farm in Howard county, Iowa, and has lived in Howard county since that time. Received his education in the common schools, also the high school at Spring Valley, Minnesota. Was township trustee from 1905 until 1917, at which time he was elected a member of the board of supervisors of Howard county, serving nine years, eight years as chairman. Was elected representative in 1926. Republican in politics.
