Representative from Audubon county, was born on a farm south of Victor, Iowa, January 29, 1878. Moved with his parents to Audubon county, October 10, 1881. Received his education in the rural schools of the county, and attended Drake University for a short time. From early manhood has been engaged in general farming, live stock breeding and feeding and is now operating a farm north of Audubon, Iowa. Has been township school treasurer for a number of years, and is a member of the Blue Chapter, and Knight Templar of the Masonic order. Was married to Gertrude Cozine May 27, 1903, to which union three daughters were born. Was elected to represent the thirty-fourth district in the forty-third general assembly in 1928.
