Representative from Warren county, was born December 25, 1865, on a farm near New Virginia. Educated in the public schools in New Virginia and spent two winters in Simpson College at Indianola, Iowa. Married in 1894 to Estella Jane Strock. Five children were born to them, Jarona, Olive, John Clark, Boyd Francis, and Leon Strock. They are all living except Boyd Francis who died in the spring of 1924 while attending the Des Moines University. Member of the Methodist church, Masonic lodge, Eastern Star and the I.O.O.F. Republican in politics and a member of the forty-third general assembly.
