Interested in farms and is a firm believer in the ultimate success of the corn belt farmers. Married Jennie Bell French November 30, 1901. They have seven children, Esther Bell, Freda, Gladys, Russell, Alice, Carroll Hope and Arthur. They lost one son, Kenneth. Member of the Baptist church. A republican in politics.
