Representative from Iowa county, was born in Keokuk county, Iowa. Moved with his parents to Millersburg, Iowa, in 1865. Was in the general merchandise and drug business until 1903. Served as county treasurer until January, 1909, and since then has been engaged in farming and in the banking business. A member of A. F. and A.M., number 231, and Iowa consistory number two. A. republican.
