Attended the public schools in Woodbine, Iowa State college at Ames and Rush Medical college, Chicago, where he graduated in medicine in 1889. Has practiced his profession at Woodbine, since that date. He is interested in farming and the banking business and is president of the First National and the Peoples Savings banks of Woodbine. In June, 1891, he was married to Maude Allen. They have four children, a son and three daughters. He is a Mason and a Knight of Pythias.
