Representative from Crawford county, was born at Fredesdorf, Holstein, Germany, August 13, 1877. Came to Crawford county in 1891, spending one year working on a farm and then started his career as printer and newspaper publisher. Is at present senior member of the firm of Finnern & Vosgerau, publisher of The Denison Bulletin at Denison. Married May 27, 1903, to Miss Frieda Vosgerau, native of Crawford county. They have four children: Lillian, Ruby, Arnold, and Norma. One son died September 4, 1923, on the seventh anniversary of his birth. Member of Zion's Evangelical Lutheran church and has been an official of same for the past fourteen years, now holding the office of financial secretary. President of the Denison Opera House Company since its organization in 1913. Was elected representative of the fifty-sixth district in 1928 on the democratic ticket. Re-elected in 1930.
